The San Antonio Spurs were edged out by one score in an NBA Western Conference Championship Game 1 heart breaker earlier this week, before being stampeded by 36 points in Game 2. A demoralized Spurs team has many giving them a slim to none chance of coming back in the series, but such wasn't the case for most of the first game, when the Spurs were looking like they were headed towards a 1-0 lead, until Kawhi Leonard was pulled from the game with an ankle injury. He hasn't been on the court since, and his teammates have looked just as absent.

San Antonio fans are livid, especially with the consensus being that Leonard was taken out by a dirty play executed by Zaza Pachulia, and at least one Spurs die-hard wants to take the matter to court.

A citizen by the name of Juan Vazquez has filed a lawsuit in Texas' Bexar County district court, charging that Pachulia acted "without excuse or justification, intentionally and maliciously invaded the landing zone of an opposing athlete, Kawhi Leonard." The charge, made on behalf of Spurs season-ticket holders and What's On Second card shop, is based on replay video which shows that Pachulia may have stuck his foot out with the intention of hurting Leonard. It wouldn't be the first time Pachulia has pulled such a stunt, as he has gained a reputation for playing dirty.

The suit charges that Pachulia directly effected "the value of the tickets purchased by plaintiff," when he "devastated the quality of the Spurs' chances of being competitive and having additional games in their home arena, both in the Western Conference Finals and also potentially in the NBA Finals."
