Numerous figures from the L.A. rap scene have sent prayers out for TDE/Rosecrans Entertainment affiliate G-Weed, after he was reportedly shot over the weekend.

Police have not confirmed a shooting involving the Compton Piru, but Instagram posts from the likes of J Roc the Bodyguard, Skeme, OG Maco and others revealed that word had been getting around confirming an attack. In tracing the location of G-Weed's last Instagram post, which he put up the very day reactions to the tragedy began pouring in, he was in Atlanta at the time of the alleged incident. He is said to have been shot in the head.

Fans will recognize G-Weed from his feature in the Noisey: Bompton documentary. As a childhood friend of Kendrick Lamar, he has also been known to ride with K. Dot at industry functions, and has made appearance in such visuals as the "King Kunta" video, and on the cover art for To Pimp A Butterfly.
