Dave Chappelle recently demonstrated that he has no problem admitting when he's dead wrong. Six months after asking the American people to give Trump a chance, the 43-year-old comedian is taking it back.

Chappelle's initial plea for optimism came just days after Trump was elected president when he hosted Saturday Night Live. At one point during his 11-minute opening monologue, Chappelle said, "I'm wishing Donald Trump luck. And I'm going to give him a chance, and we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one too. Thank you very much."

Now, with the majority of Americans agreeing that Trump has squandered the faith and trust of his constituents, Chappelle took the chance to apologize during his set at the Robin Hood Gala in NYC Monday night.

"I was the first guy on TV to say 'Give Trump a chance,'" he said. "I f**ked up. Sorry."
