A plan to build a taller fence around the White House was approved earlier this year, and at this point it's pretty clear that the new fence can't come soon enough. On Tuesday (May 16), yet another person attempted to gain entry onto the White House grounds.

The suspect, identified as a woman by White House correspondent Trey Yingst who witnessed the event, jumped a bike rack on Pennsylvania Ave. before attempting to climb the property's north fence, according to a statement from the Secret Service.

The person was arrested and charged with unlawful entry and taken to the Metropolitan Police Department, said the Secret Service.

This latest incident is just one among several that have occurred in recent years, including a breach in March when a man climbed the fence and wandered the White House grounds for a full 15 minutes before being apprehended.

You can see footage taken by Yingst of Secret Service personnel running towards the suspect's position up top.
