The murder case involving up and coming Rich Gang rapper BTY YoungN appears to be moving along towards justice, as New Orleans police have announced that they are on the lookout for a suspect who they plan on charging for his death.
Convicted racketeer and gunman in a previous shooting Darryl Bannister Jr., 31, remains on the lam. Bannister is believed to be responsible for firing the shots that claimed Desmone Jerome's [BTY YoungN] life at the age of 27. YoungN, who had recently been signed by Birdman, died after being followed to and fired on at a Shell gas station in Holly Grove, on April 29th. While the motive for the shooting has not yet come to light, the mother of the late rapper believes that it had to do with rivals who had grown envious of BTY's coming success.
“Jealousy is behind it. Because of his success as a rapper,” says Gabrielle Jerome. “He would literally give you the shirt off his back. He loved kids to death. It’s just rough."
