Stephen A. Smith was shown a little love from an unlikely source on Friday, May 12, when after a spectacular comeback win over the Celtics in D.C., Wizard's star Markieff Morris laid a nice slap on his backside before disappearing into the tunnel.

Fans got a kick out of the moment, and as stiff as he remained in spite of the jolt Morris's palm sent through his body, even Smith appeared to grin. Smith has had his share of criticism for Morris and Washington's front court of late, thus the friendly interaction was interesting, to say the least. During a post-game interview with Comcast Sports Network, Morris explained that he was just letting go of a bit of emotion he's had pent up over Smith's attitude towards his team.

"He's always talking trash. It was the heat of the moment. I saw him there and I had to give him something," said Morris. "That's the only thing you can do other than hit him. I would get in trouble for hitting him or doing anything. That's the only thing I can really do without hurting him. I know a lot of people probably wouldn't mind [if I hurt him], but my paycheck would have minded."
