Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro ordered a rewrite of the country's constitution which sparked an outrage in the Venezuelan people. Police and riot forces have been using inhumane tactics and weapons against demonstrators in this chaotic time.

Unfortunately one of these weapons was a smoke grenade that claimed the life of 27-year-old Miguel Castillo.

Miguel was demonstrating against President Maduro just outside of Caracas when he was surrounded by police and shot at point-blank range in the chest by a smoke grenade. The police leave the scene on their motorcycles while Castillo attempts to walk away. Castillo eventually collapses holding his chest, and a man comes to his aid.

It was confirmed by Mayor Gerardo Blyde of Baruta that Miguel had died due to the grenade shot to the ribs. "Miguel was the son of a public servant of this government of Baruta. 'We will seek real justice,' says Mayor Blyde.
