Social media sensation and party promoter YesJulz has been barraged with backlash after posting a twitter pic of a sweater that said: "N***** Lie", asking if it would be okay for her to wear the sweater at an event later on. The internet exploded.
Julz, who is of Italian and Puerto Rican descent, was immediately reprimanded on black twitter, instantly becoming trending. Deemed a "culture vulture" for profiting & appropriating black culture without belonging to it, many online saw this as a final straw. At least two confirmed venues have dropped Julz as a host, with more likely to come given how upset people are regarding this sensitive topic during one of the more polarizing times in America.
