Following up on the success the network enjoyed with it's airing of The New Edition Story, BET has announced plans to bring a drama series based on the life of Bobby Brown to television. Fans of such biographic productions can also anticipate a murder mystery style documentary the network will put into development, to tell the story of Death Row Records.

As is to be expected, Brown's story will be an extension of the biopic on the boy group through which he gained his initial fame, only, viewers get a scope into the lifestyle of sex and drugs that challenged the longevity of his solo career. The series comes one year after the 80's/early 90's r&b star documented his experience first hand in an autobiography titled, Every Little Step: My Story. BET has not disclosed what accounts it might have taken from the book, but there was plenty of sensational content that would serve to bridge Brown's story with that of The Death Row Chronicles, including the allegations he puts forth that ex-wife Whitney Houston had an affair with Tupac.

Both Brown's story and that of Death Row Records are slated for release sometime between the later months of 2017 and 2018.
