DMX recently canceled a string of tour dates due to a medical emergency, and it was revealed that the New York rapper checked himself into a California rehab.
Friends and family have been concerned for the rapper's health since he performed at the Ruff Ryders reunion show on April 21. Concertgoers took to social media to speak about DMX's demeanor during the show, with one user saying, “DMX is standing on a speaker and he definitely has some substances in his body.”
According to TMZ, DMX's manager Pat Gallo encouraged him to go to rehab, and Gallo released a statement on his behalf. He told fans,
“It is important right now that he take some time off to focus on his health so that he can be a better father, friend and entertainer. We are eternally grateful for the outpouring of concern and support that has poured in. We ask that you please keep X in your prayers as he embraces your support.”
