It seems like common sense that if you're going to be appearing in court in front of a judge, you should probably leave the drugs at home. However, one 39-year-old Ohio man had to learn that lesson the hard way.

Lemar Reed appeared in Cleveland's Lorain Municipal Court last week for a minor traffic violation. While standing before the judge, Reed casually flipped the ballcap he was holding in his right hand, and that's when security cameras caught a small white bag falling from his hat to the floor.

The bag wasn't discovered until an hour later when a security guard found it and turned it over to police, who tested it and determined it was cocaine. After reviewing the camera footage, authorities issued a warrant for Reed's arrest.

Reed was eventually apprehended and is now looking at felony drug charges.
