Plies his social media following a little something different to meditate on on Thursday, April 27, when he took to Instagram to talk politics a bit. The Fort Myers rapper is known for his daily IG rants, but fans have come to expect that he'll be in the driver's seat of his vehicle, sharing tidbits on the ways of women, as has usually been the case. This time he was in his living room, and the topic he had selected to cover is one of the nation's hot-button issues, immigration.

"Aye listen man. Yall ain't building no motherf***ing wall. Ya'll better leave them motherf***ing people alone. Them my motherf***ing buddies," Plies said after revealing that he had just gotten his 30 minutes of daily politics in. Sitting before a muted CNN program, he'd expound on what hard workers he has found Mexican immigrants to be, and issued a warning about such favored companies as Corona perhaps ensuring that the construction of a wall backfires on tax payers. Corona was one of the companies mentioned some months back after Trump proposed to tax imports in order to cover the wall's expenses. Many criticized the plan and predicted that such a move would lead to companies simply putting the cost back on to the consumer by raising the prices of their products.

Plies' biggest gripe though, seemed to have more to do with the personal stories that will come out of how deportation impacts families than about politics, as he hammered home his advocacy on their behalf because of what good people he's known them to be. "I play motherf***ing basketball with the Mexicans, and I know they motherf***ing nice people. Motherf***er pass you the ball everytime you motherf***ing ask 'em for it," he said. "Leave them motherf***ing people alone man. Motherf***ing murderers and drug dealers in every race."
