It has only been a week since Fox News canned longtime host Bill O'Reilly, and his groomed protege Jesse Watters is already under fire for sexist behaviors that an increasing number of current and former employees have ascribed to the culture of the company. In fact, a gesture Watters made about Ivanka Trump on Wednesday [April 26] has many scratching their heads, not only because of the lewd nature some are insisting it projected, but because he made it while on the air.

Watters had been chiming in on the reaction of a W20 Summit audience to Ivanka's defense of her father's record on women, during a segment on Fox's The Five, when he made reference to the way she was holding her microphone. “It’s funny. The Left says they really respect women, but then when given the opportunity to respect a woman like that, they boo and hiss. So I don’t really get what’s going on her,” said Watters, before pairing his wording the statement that followed, with a lifting of his fist up to his chin. It even appeared as though the fist made a subtle up and down motion. “But, I really like how she was speaking into that microphone,” he said.

Watters was immediately blasted by media rivals albeit his colleagues on the panel didn't appear to pick up or pay the gesture any mind. A Fox News spokesperson would later release a statement on Watters behalf, noting that, "During the break, we were commenting on Ivanka’s voice and how it was low and steady and resonates like a smooth jazz radio DJ. This was in no way a joke about anything else.” On Thursday Watters presented viewers with news that was eerily similar to that which O'Reilly shared just before his firing when he announced that he would be taking off for a few days to vacation with family. As it stands, he is expected to return on Monday.
