There has been chatter about the future of the L.A. Clippers, from sports commentators who began doubting their chances to come through on the potential once seen in the top tier contenders, before they even tipped off the first game of the Western Conference playoffs against the Utah Jazz. And with Doc Rivers' squad falling behind, three games to two in the series, the pessimism projected from the media is growing louder, as is the frustration from the players.

Chris Paul's exchange with a reporter during the post-game press conference on Tuesday, April 25, made the mood around Los Angeles abundantly clear. The Clippers captain was asked whether fans can expect to see Paul, Griffin, Jordan and the gang push the series to a Game 7, following their 96-92 Game 5 defeat, and he just wasn't feeling that at all. "What?" Paul responded in befuddlement, after giving the question a moment to sink in. He had an insensed look on his face

“What you think? I’m on the team. What you want me to say? No, it’s over? That’s what you want to hear? Yes. Come on, man. You’ve been doing this long enough. Seriously, right?” Paul continued. The reporter would follow up by asking that Paul expound upon what he was trying to get at, but it was clear he had no intention of furthering the conversation. “I don’t know. Everybody in here’s laughing for a reason," he replied. "Come on, man.”
