The Oakland Raiders are expected to soon announce the signing of Marshawn Lynch, as the five-time NFL Pro Bowler is reportedly at Oakland's training facility on Wednesday, April 26, to take a physical that would make the pick-up official.

There has been talk of Lynch coming out of retirement to play in his hometown for the past several weeks. The 31-year-old running back was reported to have met with the team earlier this month, and was said to have no interest in returning to any other team, although there were whispers he would not rule out a run with the New England Patriots. Regardless of where he might have selected to go, however, any move would have ultimately depended on Seattle receiving a favorable trade offer in exchange for rights to Lynch, as he remains under contract with the Seahawks despite his departure for the entirety of the 2016 season.

Under the terms of the deal, Oakland agrees to give over their 5th and 6th round picks in the 2018 draft. And while the particulars of Lynch's agreement with the Raiders have yet been divulged, they have reportedly agreed on a two-year contract. Seeing how the Raiders are all set to play out the next two years in the Bay, before leaving for Las Vegas, Lynch's come back likely has a lot to do with bringing closure to his city, and going out on a proper note himself.
