Jay Z and Beyonce placed a bid at $120 million for a bulletproof mansion in Bel Air, California.

The power couple, expecting twins this summer, hopes to secure this 30,000 square-foot mansion which sits over 2 acres of land at the top of a hill. Aside from the immense size, the house also stands out for its extreme security features including bulletproof windows. They’ve been chasing after the home for years, according to AllHipHop. It also includes a 15-car garage, eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, recording studios and a 15-car garage. The $120 million offer is less than the house is listed for. It is currently being shopped around off-market for $135 million, according to observer.com. There are no other highly publicized offers for the house at this time. The home was designed by famed architect Paul McClean.

Jay and Beyonce started renting a house in the same area for $150,000 per month in May of last year. The couple reportedly started out their time in the home living in separate bedrooms after continuous blowout fights, according to Radar Online. The report also states that Beyonce was not a fan of spending all that money on the home if she was going to be on tour. Jay Z planned on staying until the end of their contract, but the singer demanded he accompany her on the Formation Tour which took place last summer.
