Recently, two employees at Fox News have filed a lawsuit focused on the discrimination of black staff members by comptroller Judith Slater and other longtime Fox News employees. In addition to a variety of other complaints, the lawsuit alleges that black men were suggested to be "women beaters" and a majority-black department was referred to as the "urban" payroll.

The litigation, filed by Tichaona Brown and Tabrese Wright, has picked up traction after it was discovered that at least 7 additional employees have joined the suit. New York Magazine obtained a letter alleging that Slater forced black employees to arm wrestle white female employees. The lawyer for the afflicted had this to say:

“Forcing a black woman employee to ‘fight’ for the amusement and pleasure of her white superiors is horrifying. "This highly offensive and humiliating act is reminiscent of Jim Crow-era battle royals."

This comes during a critical time for Fox amid sexual harassment allegations that resulted in the firing of long-time news host, Bill O'Reily.
