Rapper 7even Up spoke openly with VladTV about being in the group Hood Stars with Nicki Minaj, Safaree, and Loustar, the son of Full Force's Bowlegged Lou. He explained that in the beginning it was just him and Loustar, and then Nicki joined the group, followed by Safaree, Loustar's best friend.
7even Up explained that he and Nicki weren't fans of Safaree's reggae edge that he brought to the group, and he even went so far to say that it was the reason they weren't getting signed by labels. Along the way, Nicki and Safaree started dating, and when Safaree was kicked out of the group, Nicki left as well.
