Recently, news broke of a passenger being bloodied and dragged off a United Airlines flight for refusing to give up his seat.

Three security guards came to him at his seat and asked him to move. When he refused, he was forcefully removed, hitting his head on the armrest in the process. From there, the bloodied man was literally dragged off of the plane. In light of the all the bad press and backlash received, United Airlines' CEO Oscar Munoz has personally issued a statement on the incident that took place on United Express Flight 3411.

Munoz said "This is an upsetting event to all of us here at United. I apologize for having to re-accommodate these customers. Our team is moving with a sense of urgency to work with the authorities and conduct our own detailed review of what happened. We are also reaching out to this passenger to talk directly to him and further address and resolve this situation." According to reports, passengers on the flight were being offered up to $800 and a hotel room for the night to leave the flight. Now, United will more than likely be sued a hefty sum for this incident.
