Two weeks from now Jay-Z will add another venture to his ever expanding business portfolio, as the release date for a new high-end champagne he is introducing to the market has been set.

Blanc de Noirs Assemblage Two, or A2 as it looks to commonly be known, will hit shelves on April 18. With only 2,333 bottles being produced and engraved with number tags, the $850 purchase is likely to attract collectors with the cash to grab one up. Although the allotment is limited, there is a good chance consumers will see later releases, as the product comes out of a 2009 deal he signed with Armand de Brignac following his investment in Sovereign Brands.

Jay-Z and Sovereign Brands linked up with Armand de Brignac following the rappers falling out with Cristal. Fans will recall him rejecting an offer of Crist in a casino, in favor of the golden Armand de Brignac bottle in the "Show Me What You Got" video in 2009. At the time, Armand de Brignac nearly sold out its entire production run as a result of the exposure it gained.

“Jay is a very strong businessman, certainly one that likes to understand what consumers want and here to build the business for the long term,” Armand de Brignac CEO Sebastien Besson told Bloomberg about the status of their partnership. “He always has a few bottles on hand for a celebration, I know that for sure.”
