Some of the nation's most reputable newspapers rushed to the presses to report the Atlanta Falcons as champions before the 2017 Super Bowl saw it's final snap. At the moment it didn't seem like a foolish thing to do, the Falcons had gained a 21-3 lead over the New England Patriots going into the half, and by the end of the 3rd quarter, they remained in the front with a 28-9 score.

As all guilty parties would come to learn, once it was too late for the next morning's paper making it into the hands of thousands; you just don't give up on the New England Patriots under coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, until the game is over and done. The Pats put up 19 points in the 4th quarter, sending the game into OT, where they'd snatch the victory with what many consider the greatest comeback in history.

On Saturday, April 1, fans learned that Brady himself had gotten hands on one of the misprints, and was saving it for just the right time to throw it in the face of his Patriots doubters. "Happy April 1st! #Fakenews," Brady wrote, in the caption of a photo of the Boston Globe cover from that night, dated February 6, and reading "A Bitter End," with an image of their QB great on the ground.
