The New Orleans Pelicans may have won more games than they've lost over the past 10 games [6-4], but barring a Portland, Denver, and Dallas slide in the standings, the playoff hopes they attempted to retain with the signing of DeMarcus Cousins at the All-Star break are looking dim. When asked what pieces the team might want to go out and get in the offseason, to help give them a better shot in 2017-18, former college basketball prospect turned New Orleans hip-hop mogul Master P said he'd refer them to himself.

"I think they need me to be Assistant Coach," P told a TMZ reporter on Monday, March 27. "I'm serious about coaching ... Bring me in." Master P's son Romeo seemed to agree. He happened to be passing by and was able to field inquiry into his thoughts on the possibility of his father going pro, and he responded favorably, stating, "Next year. I mean, that's a winning coach right there man."

The Pelicans currently have a losing record at home, on the road, in their conference and in their division. Perhaps they may want to consider making a move that will so inspire their young squad to outdo their 31-42 showing heading into Utah on Monday night.
