Former ESPN and MSNBC political commentator Keith Olbermann joined writer Crissle West, and comedian Sam Seder for a panel held during this week's episode of Uncommon Sense Live, on Friday, March 24. As is to be expected from the famously liberal commentator, he had a lot to say about President Donald Trump, none of which spoke in the Commander In Chief's favor. Prior to sharing camera time with the show's other guests, though, he sat down to speak exclusively with host Charlamagne The God, and amid all of the talk of the scandals dragging the administration down, spoke about the controversial nature by which he believes he took office in the first place.

"This is very simple. He was elected because if you look at our history - and I'm a little embarrassed like I'm saying this out loud - but, every time since the Civil War that we've tried to make this country fair [and that means Black v.s. White] every time we've tried to make it better and we've taken a step forward, we take two steps back," Olbermann told CTG, before narrowing his point down to two: Trump and his supporters. "What happened 8 years ago? We elected an African-American President, so it's not just one step forward, two steps back. It's like, 10 steps forward and now these racist White people who voted for Trump, and the idiots who voted for Trump, and the idiots who believe the Russian propaganda who voted for Trump, they're trying to bring us 20 steps back."

There was talk of racism and then there was the Russians, both of which there's been a lot of talk about coming from the left, since Trump was elected, by a base that consisted of a scant percentage of votes from the African American population and alarming accusations that the electoral process was impeded upon by Russian intelligence. Olbermann went as far as to call the President a "robot built by the Russians." Following his remarks profiling Trump voters, he focused his diatribe solely on the President, citing the administration's recent healthcare fail, and the travel ban and Mexican border wall having fallen flat before it; relishing in the opportunity to stage his once cutting-edge radical banter for Uncommon Sense's young audience.
