On Monday, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, responding to the increasingly-visible tendency of NBA coaches to sit their star players especially when matched up against unformidable teams, sent a league-wide memo warning of "significant penalties" if teams fail to notify their opponents and league officials when players sit out.

Last night, LeBron gave reporters his opinion on the matter. "Adam is fantastic. I love what Adam is doing for our league...But I don't understand why it's become a problem now because I started to sit out?" he said. "Pop's been doing this for 15 years and everybody was like, 'That's the smartest thing Pop has ever done.'"
