Detroit Lions baller Golden Tate has been shutting down criticism over a photo of him and his now-wife wearing "Make America Great Again" hats that recently resurfaced online.
Tate, a wide receiver who's been with the Lions since 2014, has been accused by critics that the photo in question was from his recent wedding festivities in Mexico. The Tennessee native made it very clear that's far from the case, and he is in no way on the Trump train. "Is this a joke? We 100% did not wear MAGA hats our wedding weekend in Mexico for our wedding," he tweeted on Wednesday. "And I 100000000000% don't support trump."
The 28-year-old NFL player further explained why exactly he was photographed wearing a MAGA hat in additional tweets, which you can read up top.
