Yesterday, an interview surfaced with Oprah and Bloomberg, where she was asked about a potential presidential run. Now, her best friend Gayle King has taken to the media to let everyone know that Oprah is not interested in running at all, and more than likely will refrain in the future.

According to Oprah, she "never considered the question [of running for president] even a possibility." When Trump's lack of government experience was pointed out, Oprah then followed up by saying "Oh gee, I don't have the experience, I don't know enough. And now I'm thinking 'Oh, Oh'" in reference to a possibility of winning a presidency. Gayle King spoke to "CBS This Morning" and cleared up Winfrey's thoughts, saying "I was in the audience that day and it was clearly a joke…she was playing with David because they have such a great rapport. I would bet my first, second-born and any unborn children to come, that ain’t never happening. Never. I’ll say never on this one. Nevah, N-E-V-A-H. Nevah.”

So the dream of Oprah Winfrey running for president in 2020 has been shut down, for now. Ironically, in 1999 Oprah was considered for a vice president role when Donald Trump considered a Reform party bid.
