Molly Brazy received backlash from fans who were incensed to watch her point a gun at a toddler in a video that went viral this past week. But it is the fact that the video has made it into the hands of authorities that concerned the Detroit rapper, leading her team to put out a statement apologizing on her behalf for the poor judgement she displayed.

"She was playing with the baby, and the baby was playing with her," Brazy's manager told a local Fox News station. "She's remorseful about it. If she could do it over she would."

Brazy maintains that the gun in the video is a toy. In the video it is clear that it is treated as such. The child chucks the gun at Molly, prompting her to ask, "why would you do that?" before picking it up and aiming it directly at the child's face. But to the naked eye the gun does appear as though it could be real.

"It's very concerning to see anybody point a weapon at a small child," Detroit police Sgt. Michael Woody told Fox, after reviewing the recording. He says the department has parked the video and is investigating whether or not she put a child's life in danger. "We've seen so much infant mortality in this city in the past year. Messing around with guns like that is not a smart thing to do. It's very irresponsible and reckless," Woody said.
