Fans of both hip hop and comic books are in for a treat, as Marvel Comics has announced it is releasing a new series of hip-hop variant covers.

Fans who collected the comic company's past variant covers, which have included issues depicting Chance The Rapper, Masta Ace and other hip hop notables, might want to be on the look out for the new batch, which will include homages to Tupac, RZA and Method Man, along with features by Rae Sremmurd and Frank Ocean. The popular artists will supplant the protagonists of Generation X, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Nick Fury, Royals and Luke Cage.

Marvel has really embraced the urban music genre in recent times, as is apparent by their flavorful production of Luke Cage. The hip-hop variant editions have added to the company's appeal to hip-hop audiences, ever since the very first variant issue in 2015, when Marvel put out a Run The Jewels cover.
