Back in January of 1989 Michael Jordan led the Bulls over the Clippers with 41 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Scottie Pippen was also a key contributor, putting up 15 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, to complete a rare pair of triple-doubles by teammates of the same team in the same game.

On Saturday the Chicago was in the same position, with Jimmy Butler having scored 18 points and added 10 rebounds and 10 assists to go along with them, while Dwyane Wade headed into the final seconds of the game with 20 of his own points to go along with 10 assists. But it wasn't to be, as he leapt into the air to collect his 10th rebound just before the buzzer, only to have it swiped from his possession by his own teammate, Cristiano Felicio.

"My teammate didn't want me to be great," Wade would quip after the game. He would later take to twitter to assure Felicio that it was all good and he had no hard feelings, but surely it was a tough board to lose. The Bulls tandem would have been just the eighth set of teammates to pull off double triple doubles in NBA history, and first since 2007 when Voice Carter and Jason Kidd did it with the Nets.
