Uncommon Sense Live premiers on MTV2 on Saturday night, February 25, and it debuts with a level of sophistication, as host Charlamagne sits down with veteran journalist Dan Rather.
It is anticipated that Charlamagne and Rather will discuss the current state of affairs in the nation, with Rather being a historical figure in American journalism, having covered the last 10 presidencies. Aside from sharing his assessment of President Donald Trump's first five weeks in office, Rather will speak on racial tensions in society and his knowledge of youth culture. In one of the snippets teasing the episodes content, Rather is asked who his favorite rapper is, and his answer is not too shabby at all.
"I've got a very pressing question for you Mr. Rather. You know, people wanna know, who is your favorite rapper of all time?" Charlamagne asked, to which a pensive Rather responded, after giving the question some thought: "Ice Cube."
