Future's new self-titled album outsold releases by Charlie Wilson, Ryan Adams, and Alison Krauss. It has far outpaced the chart placement of such artists as Garth Brooks and Rae Sremmurd, with 139,000 units sold last week, landing it atop the Billboard 200 chart. Following up on the success of prior projects DS2, What a Time to Be Alive and Evol, the distinction signifies the Atlanta rapper's fourth consecutive #1 album.

What's more, Future's upswing into 2017 may still be on the incline, as some are projecting that his immediate follow-up, HNDRXX, may debut at #1 on next week's Billboard 200 list, making it the first time in Billboard's 61-year history that an artist has debuted on top in back to back weeks.

Future foreshadowed his success earlier this week when he took to Twitter to boast about the unprecedented feat, tweeting: "#1 #2 album in the world. God got me, sorry," on Thursday, February 23.
