The beef between Shaq and JaVale McGee now has a new player: Kevin Durant. KD weighed in on the conflict while speaking with reporters on Friday, February 24, coming to the defense of his fellow Golden State Warrior teammate.

"[McGee] wants to be respected, just like anybody else," Durant said. "I understand that Shaq works for a company that wants him to do that type of stuff - make fun of the players - that's cool and funny, but when you just keep doing it time and time again, for no reason...and then when the guy actually disagrees with you, and you threaten him -- I didn't know cops could threaten civilians like that..." continued the 28-year-old small forward.

Durant is of course referring to the fact that Shaq was made a sheriff's deputy in Clayton County, GA,. last year and is an honorary deputy in a handful of other locales around the country.

In the above clip, Durant also pointed out Shaq's flaws as a player, “Shaq was a s***** free-throw shooter. He missed dunks. He air-balled free throws. He couldn’t shoot outside the paint. He’s bigger than everybody, he didn’t have no skill. But he was bigger and stronger than everybody else. He’s still a great player, but you had your flaws, too, as a player. And he played on five or six teams, too. So it’s not like he was this perfect center. You had your flaws, too.”
