Rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight appeared in court Wednesday (Feb. 22), to protest the conditions he's being jailed under. Again Suge complained to a judge that the extreme circumstances surrounding his incarceration and the lack of adequate resources and access are impeding his ability to defend himself against murder charges.

The Death Row Records co-founder insists that "child murderers" and "cop killers" at the same correctional facility were being treated like kings. Suge claims he has not been allowed to see his attorneys on the weekend like other inmates. He also says he has not been able to see any of his family members over the past two years.

Prosecutors have argued that the extreme security is in place to ensure the safety of the entire prison.

Suge is accused of killing Terry Carter, and the attempted murder of Cle "Bone" Sloan. He was seen on tape running the men over during an argument in the parking lot of a hamburger restaurant in Los Angeles, during a taping for a commercial for the movie "Straight Outta Compton."

Suge pled not guilty and claims that he feared for his life because Dr. Dre had put a hit on him. Knight alleges that the men were coming to kill him as he attempted to race out of the parking lot.

Suge is due back in court on March 27 for another pretrial hearing.
