All Beyhive and casual Beyonce fans who had purchased tickets hoping to see the megastar perform at Coachella in April will have to settle for the next best thing, as it was announced on Thursday [February 23] that she has finally withdrawn from her spot as the festival's headliner. Those holding on to faith that they will someday see her do Coachella won't have to wait long, however, as it was confirmed that Bey has promised to headline the concert in 2018.

"Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival," a statement sent to the Associated Press read. "However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding."

Beyonce's Coachella status has been one of the biggest questions in music since she shared news about her second pregnancy with husband Jay Z. Fans initially doubted she'd be able to make an appearance, especially considering the knowledge that she is carrying twins. But a sensational performance, in spite of her baby bump, at the Grammy's earlier this month lead many to hope that perhaps she might have something in her to give two months from now. The April 15 and 22 shows would have been her first ever at the festival, and the first for a female headliner since Bjork topped the bill in 2007.

No replacement to fill her slot has been announced. Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar are set to headline some of the other festivals dates. They will be backed by plenty of talent, including the likes of Lorde, Bon Iver, Future, Gucci Mane, DJ Snake, DJ Khaled, and other show stoppers.
