G Herbo recently stopped by Hot 97 Flex while on a visit to NYC, and he brought a couple of grown man bars with him. Video of Funkmaster Flex sitting on hand as the Chicago rapper spits a 16 over Dipset's "I Really Mean It" is spreading as a viral reminder that the Chi has still got some skilled rappers left.

G's balance of hardcore streets, hustle motivation, and consciousness delivered through a multi-syllabic flow harkens back to the influences of The Lox and other late 90's rappers with the capacity to legitimize the industry while remaining legit in the streets.

"When they was working I was working harder than 'em/ I was smarter than 'em/ benched me, no I never started with 'em, still went farther than 'em/ They're like: 'boy be cautious near him, Herbo keep that carbon with him'/ Standing firm on what he speak and so you cannot bargain with him," he opened, before taking off with an overall solid effort.
