After protests broke out following a video-recorded altercation between an off-duty LAPD officer and a group of teens during which the officer fired his weapon, the mother of the 13-year-old victim spoke out.
"You almost killed my child. Stop shooting our kids, stop killing our kids, this is my child, this is my son, he is 13 years old, he was not armed. He intended to shoot my son, he almost killed my son," the boy's mother said.
