Earlier on Wednesday, Diddy posted a video that was part inspirational message and part Aqua Hydrate commercial in which he said, "A young boy from Harlem, I couldn't even be a waiter. They didn't want me to become a waiter, so you know what I did? I became a billionaire."

The video immediately got people talking about how Diddy is now officially hip hop's first billionaire. However, it turns out that isn't quite true. Diddy later took to Instagram with a message clarifying what he meant with his initial billionaire statement.

"Basically there was a little mistake that was made on my IG the other day," said Diddy. "You know, we try to put out these motivational videos - hopefully you guys are being motivated - and I stated in there that they didn't want me to become a waiter, so I became a billionaire, and a lot of blogs took that as I have become hip hop's first billionaire. That is not the case, the race is still on."
