A small plane crashed in a Bayonne, New Jersey neighborhood on Sunday (February 19). The aircraft went down on Avenue E between 41st and 42nd streets around 10am, landing in a resident's driveway.

According to reports, 56-year-old George Pettway was the pilot and the only person aboard the plane. He was said to be alert and talking after being removed from the wreckage, suffering only a broken leg in the incident.

Pettway told investigators that he had mechanical problems, leading to the plane to rip through trees and power lines before part of the wing fell off and landed near gas pumps at a local Shell gas station.
