As millions across the nation used their day off from work to rest at home or to shop for holiday deals, thousands gathered at rallies across the nation to denounce President Donald Trump on the one month anniversary of his inauguration. They were organized as a part of "Not My President's Day," an event that took its name from the hashtag that sprung up following Trump's defeat of Hillary Clinton in the presidential election, and further popularized as one scandal after the next has formed against him in the months since.

"We have been doing this every weekend. We'll keep doing this as long as we have to," said 24-year-old Morgan Mullins, for whom it was just another day resisting the Trump presidency. Mullins was a part of the "Not My President's Day" rally in Washington, D.C., where hundreds took to DuPont Circle, singing popular protest hymns and mocking the Commander-In-Chief's controversial relationship with Vladimir Putin. "Happy President's Day President Putin," and "My President? Nyet," they chanted, before marching about as close to the White House as they were allowed to get, yelling "Shame!"

There are many more protesters like Mullins, who have been a part of regular demonstrations against the administration over the past several weeks. The "Not My President's Day" action in New York was the city's fifth rally in five days. The anti-Trump New Yorkers didn't take to the streets without confrontation though, as they were met by pro-Trump crowds at Columbus Circle, where tensions would flare up.

In addition to D.C. and NYC protesters congregated in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. Estimates confirm that nearly two dozen cities took part across the U.S. There were also protests against Trump across the sea, with a massive gathering taking place outside of London's Palace of Westminster. Trump has been very unpopular among the Brits, as would be indicated by the 1.85 million who have signed petitions demanding that the Parliament cancel his visit to the U.K. scheduled to happen later on this year.
