A man stopped by police for texting while driving took off with an officer hanging in the window on Southern State Parkway in Long Island. The officer told the suspect that his car would be towed, and a brawl between the two ensued. A passing motorist happened to catch the end of the fight, as two people helped to subdue the suspect.

Kyreem Kelly, the driver, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault upon a police officer, second-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, obstruction of governmental administration and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
