Director Jon Favreau is all set to direct the Lion King remake and has chosen actor Donald Glover to play its most iconic role, Simba. At the Hollywood Reporter's conversation, Favreau met up with Donald Glover and began to consider the idea. Favreau was given the "keys" to the Lion King franchise after much success with the live-action remake of The Jungle Book.
