Back in 2015, Jidenna sat down with VladTV to speak about the differences he's faced in his homeland of Nigeria and the U.S. for being a light-skinned black person. While he says that people that look like him in Nigeria are more valuable to kidnap, Jidenna adds that he's targeted in the U.S., but he says it might not be as bad as a dark-skinned person.
