Draymond Green had one of the best games of any player in the NBA this season on Friday night, February 10, and probably the best game ever for a player contributing less than 5 points to the score. That's because despite his low point total, Green managed to register a triple-double. It was the first time in the history of the league that a player accomplished the feat without putting up double-digits in the point column.

“To a certain extent, he does that every night for us,” Steph Curry said, of Green's penchant to revolve his game around the grunt work, and leave the rest to Golden State's shot makers. “But the numbers were pretty crazy with that kind of a triple-double.”

Apparently Golden State doesn't need each of its starters to score over 10 to put up 122 points, as they did so in their 122-107 win over Memphis with the help of Andre Iguodala's 22 points off of the bench. The team high belonged to Klay Thompson, who accounted for 36. But that didn't mean Green wasn't at all responsible for any of his teammate's success, as his 10 assists say otherwise. He was also able to give the ball back to his team with 12 rebounds.

So how could he have gotten a triple double with 4 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds? Stealing the ball 10 times is how. The Warriors strategy of stuffing the paint on defense paid off, causing Gasol to miss 10 of 14 shots, and pressuring his Grizzlies teammates into turning the ball over. Green was the pivotal piece in executing the game plan. “Draymond dominated that game. That’s as dominant of a performance as I’ve ever seen from somebody who scored four points,” said coach Steve Kerr after the game.
