It is reported that Bobby Shmurda has admitted to having attempted to smuggle a weapon into prison, during a hearing at Bronx Supreme Court. Shmurda allegedly confirmed to being guilty as charged, as he stood before Judge Marc Whitten on Thursday, February 2.

The incident in question is alleged to have occurred in 2015 when he was found in possession of a "sharp metal object." Shmurda reportedly told the judge that his friend, Kimberly Rousseau had passed it on to him while visiting the Brooklyn rapper in Rikers Island. Shmurda allegedly said that she was able to get the weapon in by wrapping it in a white latex glove and then wrapping it in tape.

Bobby has been in prison since late 2014, when police locked him up along with numerous other members of his GS9 crew and then used a prior arrest for gun possession against him in court. Back in the Fall, he finally stood trial and agreed to a plea bargain that gave him seven years in exchange for a guilty charge on conspiracy and weapons possession.

With the attempt to promote prison contraband charge, Bobby may be facing up to four years, which can very well be served concurrently with his present sentence. He will be sentenced in one month.
