A petition that was recently drawn up in the interest of scrapping Lady Gaga and replacing her with Migos to perform during the Super Bowl LI half time show is nearing completion.

A San Francisco resident by the name of Justin Good chose to start the petition drive after seeing the Falcons defeat the Packers in the NFC Championship game. Seeing how rich of a presence ATL currently enjoys on the music scene, he saw it as only fitting that artists from the Georgia city be given preference over a pop artist like Gaga. "Very Simple, the Atlanta Falcons are in the Super Bowl and it's gonna be in Houston. Two of the TRILLEST hip hop communities under ONE ROOF. Your entertainment choices have to change RIGHT NOW," Good gives as his reason for collecting signatures.

Good appears to really have something going, as the nearly 33,000 signatures collected thus far put it on track to meet its goal of 35,000 within hours. The popularity of the campaign picked up speed on Friday, January 27, when it was reported on by several mainstream media outlets, including Sports Illustrated. Prior to catching fire in the press, word of the petition went viral on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Good's vision for the February 5th game's entertainment is a lofty one. Not only does he insist upon having the red hot Migos fill the main feature slot, he has proposed that Erykah Badu and Andre 3000 sing the National Anthem, and that Rae Sremmurd, Gucci Mane, Goodie Mob, Ludacris and Young Jeezy kick off the excitement for the game during a star-studded pre-game show.

Last year's half-time show headliner was Coldplay, who took part in six of the eight songs performed. But the show was undoubtedly stolen by Beyonce, whose Black militant presentation of "Formation" stirred up controversy at a time in which racial tensions were on the rise around the nation.
