President Trump's executive order banning immigrants from 7 predominantly Muslim countries went into effect Friday night. Refugees who were in the air, flying to the U.S., were stopped and detained upon arrival.

Trump's order prevents all refugees from entering the U.S. for 120 days. It also suspends admission of Syrian refugees indefinitely, and for 90 days it disallows entry of immigrants from 7 countries in the Middle East and Africa: Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen.

As of now, it is unclear how many refugees and immigrants are being detained under Trump's executive order. Several legal complaints have been filed, among them complaints from the ACLU and the International Refugee Assistance Project.
