Patrick Clarke of Queens won a $5 million "Set for Life" scratch-off on Dec. 20 after playing with money that his mother gave him for his 28th birthday. According to DJ Akademiks, Clarke is an aspiring rapper who is using the money to help get his rap career off the ground.

Clarke was ecstatic after scratching the ticket and seeing a match with the number 16 and the word "Life" under it. The jackpot was originally for $5 million, but Clarke took the lump sum, which came out to $2,453,693.

Vibe reports that Clarke is a Delta air ramp attendant who plans on keeping his job, but he added that he won't have to worry about money as much. Clarke also revealed that he was planning on buying a home for his family with his winnings.
