Ab-Soul considers himself a feminist.

The Top Dawg Entertainment rapper recently sat down with XXL and elaborated on his politics as they concern the opposite sex. It is a conversation that arises in light of the pro-women slant such songs as "Wifey Vs. WiFi," and "Womanogamy" off of his album Do What Thou Wilt, have. Soulo says that question of the divinity of women, which he explores on "God's a Girl?," is one of the many matters that he and his boys discuss among one another. In speaking on behalf of men, who like himself stand for and support women as leaders, he explains feeling like it is time to have such discussions openly.

"I am a feminist; I guess it's fair to say. I am a feminist. I am all for Women's rights and equality of the sexes," he told XXL. "I believe that sexism is an important issue that we should have more conversations about; that we should be more aware about," he said, encouraging that men begin to extend the same respect they hold for the women dearest to them, out to women in general."
