In an interview released by Genius on Monday, January 23, the LOX recount landing their major deal with Bad Boy Entertainment, and recording a feature for a Biggie Smalls record as their first order of business. According to the legendary Yonkers trio, they had yet to even meet The Notorious One, and he was already letting them know who the big man on the block was.

"He was at us too. I was like woo ... That was like, I'ma rhyme with y'all, y'all dope, but let me get at y'all real quick too," Styles P said of Big's follow up verse on 1996's "You'll See." When the Brooklyn emcee alluded to rappers not living their rhymes, before flaunting his own glamorous lifestyle, the LOX were almost certain that he was talking about them. "N****s talkin' it, but ain't livin' it/ Cristal pop, I'm sippin' it/ mob hats and lizard s**t," he had rhymed.

"He knew we coke dealers off the block. But we was talking that s**t though. We was talking what we wanted, he was talking what he already had," said Styles.
