While making an appearance as a guest commentator on ESPN's NFL Countdown on Sunday, January 22, Travis Kelce took a moment out to prove he was an honest man, when he formally offered to pay a fine on the air. But he wasn't about to get away with paying by any other means but by cash if co-commentator Randy Moss had anything to do with it.

"I'll tell you what, I stand by my statement. I'm gonna go ahead, and you know, if the NFL wants my money, they can have it," Kelce said after the panel recalled his post-game criticism of how last week's Chiefs vs Steelers game was officiated. He then whipped out his checkbook, and as soon as he begun to sign, Moss interjected to call a halt to the action. "Hold on bro, you writing a check? We don't write checks on here bro," said Moss, as he withdrew a stack of bills.

The league ordered Kelce to pay $21,615 over his remarks. He had blasted the refs for calling back a 2-point conversion that was successfully completed in the endzone, late in the fourth quarter. The completion would have tied the game up and given Kansas City a chance to compete for a win in overtime. In his remarks Kelce said the officials responsible for the call do not belong in the NFL, and that he couldn't see them being fit to work in a Foot Locker.
